Today history was made.
I wanted to make a quick post about it.
Why?
Because when I look back at my blog I want to remember this day that is huge now
and will be a big deal in the future.
Also I know that my kids will be learning about it and soon it will
be in all the textbooks.
Today Osama Bin Laden was killed by the U.S. CIA and military.
How did I find out?
I was sitting on the couch in the front room.
My whole family was over for Sunday dinner.
I had just gotten home from a Senior testimony meeting and
a fireside that Sister Wixom, General Primary President, spoke to us at.
Let me just say it was amazing! Loved it!
As I was sitting on the couch just hanging out with the family,
Brad, my bro-in-law came up from downstairs and said,
"Osama Bin Laden has just been killed"
We all piped up and asked what was going on.
He said CNN just had the President Obama announce it.
We then proceeded to talk about it for a bit.
Then just continued on with family chatting.
We then watched the news, it was all over it of course!
What a day in our country's history!
I'm so grateful that I was blessed to live in this country and for all of
my rights and freedoms that I enjoy on a daily basis!
I'm so grateful for the men and women who sacrifice
their lives for my freedom!
And last but not least I cannot put into words how grateful
I am for the freedom of religion!
I would truly be lost without that freedom because I then would
not be able to have the blessing of the Gospel in my life!
This picture to me is an example of the men and women who give so much service to our community's and our country. This is some firemen pulling out the picture of Christ from the Provo tabernacle.
Here's a better picture of it! But how amazing is that! That testifies to me that he lives!
That picture truly strengthens my testimony!
I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father blessing me to live in the wonderful country!
