lately.

Well...i'm a little behind on blog posts! I can't believe it has already been almost a
month since I have posted anything! Which is crazy cause that was Luke's eight month mark and I can't believe it's already, in five days, nine months! Time is sure flying by!
First off Happy Valentines Day!

So here are some updates on what has been happening lately...hmmm where to start.
Well February 1st came finally, thank heavens! All of my scholarships were turned in and done!
Oh what a good feeling that was!

Oh and I did pass my CNA test! Happy Day! But guess what!? My certificate came late like a week and a half late...so the job at the hospital was gonzo when I got my results! Super sad about that still!! Oh well thought I guess I wasn't suppose to have that job!

Well i've been hanging out with my fam lots lately!! Love them oh so much! I'm so grateful for them in my life and all they do for me! Truly my life would be even crazier than it already it is without them!! This includes extended family and great family friends!
Here are some pics
My super adorable nephew Camden! Love that little boy!
And yes i'm his favorite aunt! No questions asked!

Go Aggies! Aren't they the cutest!?

My cute cousin Ryker!!

Well life has been treating me good!! Yesterday I spoke in church because for new beginnings we did it in sacrament meeting! I spoke on the Young Women theme. It went really well! Also yesterday as I walking to young womens from sunday school President Danny Duncan, a member of our stake presidency, stopped me. He asked me to stop by the stake offices after church! I said yes of course. I thought it was going to be for girls camp. Because i'm going to be on senior life this year which is a youth leader. But you plan EVERYTHING for girls camp. And I mean every little detail. You have to have a worthiness interview for this calling. So I thought that's what this was all about. In fact I was positive that's what it was about. Well I was definitely wrong! Not even close to right. President Duncan pulled me into a room with him and President Patrick. After asking me how I was doing and all that President Duncan said well we should tell you why you're here. Guess what he said!? He said, " We would really like you to speak in stake conference!" Say what!? I think I about passed out right then and there! Ahhh! Well so they told me that they weren't going to give me a topic. They told me I knew what my peers are struggling with and if I pray about it sincerely I would know what they need to hear and what I need to speak on. So i'm trying to convince myself  ok ok ok I can do this. I'll have about 1 month to prepare. A week or two to pray about it and find my topic. Then a couple of weeks to write my talk. So I asked when is stake conference. They both replied, "Two weeks from today." Ya I stared freaking out even more!! I'm a little nervous, overwhelmed, scared, and emotional. But we'll see how it goes.

Also i've hung out with this boy a few times! I love hanging out with him and being with him! He's always so positive, happy, a very big gentleman, so fun to joke around with, and really easy going!
It has been such fun times hanging out with him!

That's all for now! Happy Valentines Day!

Love always,
Miss Kelsie Ann

Can you tell how well my new years resolutions are going!?
HORRIBLE!
Life has been so crazy and so busy!
I find out tomorrow if I passes my CNA test!
Oh how I hope so very badly that I passed!
Want to know why!?
Cause if I did there's a job opening at Payson Hospital.
Yes where I did my internship. And having done my internship there, I have some connections! :)
So i'm officially half way done with my senior year! Crazy!
It has flown by! Before I know graduation and the senior all night party is going to be here! Yay!
So other news in the my life....today is Luke's 8th month mark!
Wahooooo!!
Other news....i'm getting another nephew! Michelle is having a boy.
Other happy news in about a week and a half it will be Feb. 1st.
Do you know what that means?
That day is the deadline for all my USU scholarships. So all those will be done and turned in! And the stress that has come along with them will be all over and done also!

2011

2011

Oh what this year has in store!
Graduation, College, moving out, friends coming home from missions,
so many new experiences, and adventures. I can't wait.

My New Year's Resoltions:

Finish The Book of Mormon

Say my Prayers every morning

Read my Scriptures every morning

Make a Blog Post every day

Take a picture every day

I cannot wait to finish the Book of Mormon! I love that book! Saying my prayers and reading my scriptures every morning. This one is going to be a challenge! I do both of those every night before I go to bed! But I want to start doing it every morning and get into the habit of it like I have at night! I think it would be a great way to start my day every morning. And i'm also hoping it will help me be more in tune with the spirit as I go throughout my day. I love looking back at my old blog posts! In a way it's a type of journal for me! I love writing in my personal journal. And taking a picture every day. I love taking pictures and especially looking at pictures. I did this the first part of my senior year and I absolutely loved it! So i'm hoping to do that and post it with my every day blog post!

So bad but I totally forgot to do a post yesterday! Ya bad to start off my new years resolution by forgetting the first day. But here's the pic from yesterday.

So this is called me being lazy! Well just lazy about getting ready! Hair on top of my head with a headband, hardly any make up on, and a comfy t-shirt. I was studying doing and studying homework all day. So I got the munchies while I was studying and grabbed a bowl of cereal!

Here is today's picture
Probably the last day that the Christmas tree will be up! :(
That makes me super sad! I love Christmas and i'm sad it's already over!

Hope your New Years was a lovely one and treated you well!

Love,
Miss Kelsie Ann

18 birthday

Yes today I turned the big 18.
That seems a old to me. A lot older than 17.
I feel I need to be responsible.

It has been the hardest birthday yet.
A lot of remembering today.
Last year on my birthday it was my Grandma's funeral.
Also last year on my birthday one of my closest friends left on his mission.
Other than my cousin Kellen leaving, it was the first kid and real close friend to leave.
But that night Luke took me on my birthday date!
He let me plan everything.
He told me it could be whatever I wanted to do. And that he wasn't going to plan any of it, so I had better plan it. He wanted it to be the best date.
So I planned what I thought would be the ideal date.
We were suppose to go up to Salt Lake and eat at a cute little Italian restaurant.
We both loved the Christmas lights at temple square.
So we were then going to go see them
I was so excited and couldn't wait.
Well the 30th of December came.
And it was a very very snowy and bad weather day.
Luke texted me and told me that the weather had interfered with my perfectly planned date. And that the roads were horrible to be driving on. Also that there had been a lot of accidents on the freeway, so he didn't want to risk that.
I understood his point. But was a little sad that we couldn't do the perfect date.
So we doubled with Jared Gordon and Sarah Benson. We went to Brick Oven for dinner. ( A usual spot.) We ran into his parents there.
It came time when he told the waitress it was my birthday. ( I was embarrassed cause I don't like being sang to.) Well I told the waitress he was lying and it wasn't really my birthday. The waitress believed me.   Sarah and I went to the bathroom. He then told the waitress. When I got back his parents had bought us suckers for my birthday. Well then came a ton of waiters and waitresses. They made me stand on the bench while I got sang to! Even more embarrassing!
We then went to Jared's house and watched just like Heaven. Luke did in fact hold my hand. It was the first time. Oh what a lovely day!
Well the day of my birth is about over. I have 18 min left. Farewell till next year! I will be at marriageable age! :)

School Cancelled and the Christmas Season

So yesterday history happend, just like every other day. But it was kinda a big deal that happened.
Take a look for yourself here http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=13744342. It's the 4th to last paragraph.
Ya that's right yesterday SCHOOL WAS CANCELLED! Seriously in my life time i've never heard of that in Utah! Crazy! So I'll tell you the story! I woke up at about 6:10 am on Tuesday morning. As my mom came and made sure I was awake, she told me that we had gotten a lot of snow that night. I just thought oh ya know probably a few inches. I looked out the window after I went downstairs. I couldn't believe my eyes! There was about a foot of snow. I don't know that I had ever seen that much! I got ready and was out the door. As I got to my car, my dad had cleaned my car off of all the snow and dug me out. He was on the four wheeler clearing the drive way and side walks. I took the highway into Spanish Fork to school, my usual route. As I got to the end of that road (400 N.) I had to turn left up a hill. Well as I approached that intersection there was a car who was trying to make it up there hill. They kept sliding. They eventually made it up the hill. I just hoped that wouldn't happen to me. Well guess what!? As I turned my wheels were spinning like crazy! I tried to make it up the hill oh about 10 times. Ya epic fail! So I managed to turn around and go all the way back to Springville and up the highway to Mapleton! I made it up that hill no problem. At last I made it to seminary! It took me 40 min to get there, usually it takes 10.  I parked my car in the somewhat plowed school parking lot. Well then I had to walk through the snow. I had my rain boots on and guess what? The snow was so deep that they got buried when I walked in it! It was up to my knees. Mind you i'm not that tall, but still it was up to my knees. I walked into class. Luckily they weren't counting tardies. Yay. Then the kid I was sitting next to got a text that said school was cancelled. We all started to kinda scream and get super excited! Then our seminary teacher, Brother Anderson, told us not to get too excited cause we needed to hear it from a reliable source and not just a forward. So he went and called the school....and guess what!? They said it wasn't cancelled! Booooo!! :( So we continued on with seminary. As I was walking out to my car with my friends, a seminary teacher came out of the seminary building and told us that the school had just called and told them school was cancelled! Ahh yay! We all screamed and had a party right there! So then I went to Tyson Brooksby's house and we made breakfast for his little siblings! It was oh so fun! I love those little kids to pieces! So Merry Christmas to all of Nebo School District for a extra day early of Christmas break! That's that story!
It's also nearing Christmas Day which means it is the Christmas season! Oh how I love this time of year! It is by far my favorite time of year! I love it! I love the music, the Christmas spirit, the Christmas lights, the decorations, and most of all it is a time that I get to focus on the Savior's birth. See it's just the greatest!
I love just sitting in our front room staring at our Christmas tree. While listening to the greatest Christmas music.  Josh GrobanMicheal McLeanNeil Diamond, and of course The Mormon Tabernacle Choir feat Sissel ( possibly one of my most favorite singers. Her voice= so amazing and calming!) Ahh my favorite Christmas music in the world! My favorite Christmas movies. The Grinch, Elf, The Christmas Story, and Charlie Brown Christmas.

perfectly arranged arrangment!

I love this arrangement of THIS song!!!
It makes me so excited to go to the temple one day!! I cannot wait for that day of my life!! I hope to always be worthy of it!
Someday have a husband who will take me there to be sealed for time and all eternity. And who is a worthy Priesthood holder and who will bless my life more than I can imagine!

Longing.

Longing for a lot of things.
Oh how I long for Christmas break.
Life is so crazy, busy, and stressful.
I just want to have a time to slow down and enjoy life.
To be with my family.
To enjoy the Christmas season and spirit that it brings.
To go on drive after drive looking at Christmas lights while listening to some of the greatest Christmas music of all times! (Celine Dion, Neil Diamond, and Josh Groban)
To study more of the gospel and the true meaning of Christmas.

Today I had my internship at the Payson Hospital. Oh how it was a crazy day! I got there at noon and didn't leave till Five. Mind you i'm only suppose to stay an hour and a half. I can stay longer if they need my help. Obviously today they needed my help...lots. We had a little one and half year old girl, who my heart just went out to. The mother of this little girl didn't take very good care of her. Her hair was in her face and eyes, She had bits and pieces of every meal in her hair, her nose needed to be wiped every time I went in the room, she probably hadn't been given a bath in at least three or four days, and none of this did she have control over. Oh how it made me grateful how my parents took care of me and raised me! I just wish I could have bathed her and done her hair. How I wish so very badly that everyone had the gospel. Also oh how I wish everyone would understand and take care of and give loving care to the precious little sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. It makes me see how I want to take care of those little ones when one day I have some of my own to care for. That day is going to be one of the best. Oh how I wish I could give some of my love to those little ones who don't know how precious they are. And how much they are loved!

I've also been longing for old friends.
Mostly all of the ones that are on missions.
Especially that one that I talk about lots.
But also friends from jr. high and middle school.

I wish I could spend more time at the temple and studying the gospel. I long for that also.
I long for my sister Abbie to come home and be with me!

Love,
Miss Kelsie Ann

lucky number 6

Ahhh today 6 is such a good number! Today is 6 months since this boy has been gone.
K to me six months sounds a lot longer than five! Also six months means he's a quater of the way done with his mission! Which makes it seem like it has flown by and that he will be home so soon! I will admit though recieving letters has been so fun and I love it! I usually get a letter every other week, that is if he doesn't have a busy week. But I usually get the letters on a Thursday or Friday. The weeks that I think i'm going to get a letter drag on and on though! He's doing oh so good and loves it! Which makes it so much easier in not missing him as much! I sent him a packaged yesterday with banana bread, cadbury christmas candy, mint m&m's, and muddy buddy's.

Today I got my senior pictures taken by Kellie Crandall. It went oh so good! Here's one of them she posted on my facebook wall, just a little preview.
A lot of them turned out so good!!

Also about a month ago we had family pictures done.
Here's one of the fam.

Here's one of me and Abbie

She shot a couple of me for Senior year

Simplicity. I wish I had more of it in my life.I always feel like I'm in such a hurry, especially lately. I wish I could just slow down and enjoy life more.I've been so busy that I haven't been to this place much

Which makes me way sad! I love this place! It makes me sad that my life is so rushed I don't even make it here once a week like I use to.
I have been thinking a lot lately. Because I have been filling out lots of college and scholarship applications.
I'm hoping to go here! I've been up here a few time and I love it! I'm so excited to be in college!
But it has really made me start thinking about my life. About how i'm going to be on my own, that my testimony may be tried more than it has been growning up where 90% of my school is mormon. I realized how much more I will be depending on the Lord, even though I didn't know that was possible!! I've come to realize just how much the gospel effects my life and how much I depend on it for every decision and choice!
I love the gospel and am so greatful for it!
